Join us at Hilton Village Hall on Sunday 15th November 2026 from 10:00am for a fun day of social sewing.
What is a social sewing day?
A social sewing day is where a group of people gather in the same place to spend a day working on individual or group sewing projects. People choosing to attend enjoy each others company in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying the refreshments provided by Sarah, and hopefully leave having made some new friends.
What's included in the ticket price?
The ticket price is £24 and provides access to the whole day whether you decide to say for one hour or six! Free parking, unlimited tea, coffee, soft drinks, cakes, biscuits, snacks. Access to the swaps table where people leave donated sewing goodies that are free for all to take, these could be patterns, books, magazines, fabric, notions, items of clothing and many other things!
What do I need to bring?
All you need to bring is your sewing machine, a project to work on, some scissors and some lunch. Everything else (including extension leads, ironing stations and cutting mats) is all provided.
What if I don't know anyone else there?
We understand that trying something new can be nerve wracking and make some of us feel anxious. If you'd like to come to a social sewing day but are feeling especially worried about what to expect then drop me a message and I'll do what I can to make it as accessible and not scary as possible. What I will say though is that if you decide to give us a go, you'll find a lovely group of kind and caring people who would be delighted to meet you.
I still have questions!
If you still have questions then feel free to pop them over to me by emailing godmanchestersewcial@outlook.com
I look forward to seeing you at a Godmanchester Sewcial soon.
